Who Should Attend
Radiologists, radiology residents,
and other healthcare professionals who want to gain proficiency
in virtual colonoscopy methods and interpretation,
and to assess and improve their colon imaging skills.
Goals and Objectives
Following completion of this
program, the participants should be able to understand
the epidemiology of colon cancer/polyps and the current
role of virtual colonoscopy for colon polyp and cancer
screening. The course will also review current techniques
for performing CT colonography, as well as interpretation
and reporting strategies. Current issues regarding accreditation
and reimbursement will be addressed.
The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Roentgen Ray Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Program:
The course will combine didactic lectures
and 60 review cases. These cases will be presented by the
faculty and will utilize the audience response system.
