AJR Abbreviation List

AJR style is to not spell out the following abbreviations in articles' title, abstract, text, tables, and figure legends. These terms may be spelled out when appearing in a quotation or the article’s reference list. This guidance is applied by the journal office during production of accepted manuscripts and need not be followed for articles to undergo peer review or receive acceptance. However, authors may find this information useful when preparing manuscripts, for example to conserve space relative to the word limits for the abstract and manuscript text.
