The learning objectives for this course are discuss breast biopsy planning including anticoagulation guidelines, imaging modality selection, describe ultrasound guided breast biopsies including technique tips, and biopsy devices, describe stereotactic breast biopsies such as technique tips, biopsy devices, troubleshooting challenging cases, summarize issues that are specific to breast biopsies such as MQSA requirements, marker (clip) placement, and concordance process, and explain breast localization (seed or needle) for surgical planning for example, current available technologies, and technique tips.
