ARRS Clinician Educator Development Program (CEDP)

The ARRS Clinician Educator Development Program, funded by The Roentgen Fund®, offers two levels of training to support radiologists at key stages of their academic careers. Both programs are one-day, hands-on workshops held during the ARRS Annual Meeting and include an $1,800 educational grant to the participant’s institution.

CEDP Level 1

For Early-Career Faculty

Designed for junior faculty (1–6 years post-residency), this highly interactive program focuses on foundational teaching skills, educational design, and peer networking.

Eligibility & Nomination Overview

Both CEDP Level 1 and CEDP Level 2 are competitive, nomination-based programs designed for ARRS Members who are active in academic or teaching hospital settings. While each level has unique eligibility criteria based on career stage, the core requirements and application steps are similar:

General Requirements

  • Must be an ARRS Member in good standing at the time of application
  • Must hold an MD or DO (or international equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Must currently be employed at an academic center or teaching hospital
  • Must have a current faculty appointment (lecturer, instructor, assistant or associate professor)
  • Must be available to attend the 2026 ARRS Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 11 in Pittsburgh
  • Laptop required for participation

Nomination & Application Process

  • Candidates must be nominated by a department chair or medical director
  • Each institution may nominate up to two applicants per program
  • A completed application includes:
    • Online application form
    • Current CV
    • Letter of recommendation from the nominator
  • Application Deadline: Friday, December 19, 2025
  • Selected institutions will receive a $1,800 educational grant after participation to offset travel and registration costs
