Dr. Fintelmann aims to discover and validate imaging biomarkers for prognostication in lung cancer patients while deepening understanding of key molecular oncology concepts to inform surgical decision-making and facilitate patient-centered and individualized lung cancer care.

Albert Hsiao, MD, PhD

University of California, San Diego

Dr. Hsiao aims to develop a framework for developing, deploying, and adaptively training convolutional neural networks to realize their potential clinical value in automating scan prescription of multiplanar cardiac MRI through automated localization of cardiac structures.

ARRS Leonard Berlin Scholarship

Richard Duszak, MD

Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Duszak aims to fill gaps in scholarship and teaching by developing a deeper and broader understanding of the contributors to and drivers of malpractice litigation and better disseminating such knowledge to reduce radiologists’ collective malpractice exposure and improve the quality and value of radiology services to patients.

Dr. Lalwani aims to identify potential flaws and ethical issues involved in the double blind peer review process allowing journal and editorial boards to improve the peer review process.
